    Chris Coppock

Chris was born in Northern Ireland, went to school in Belfast and studied Fine Art at Belfast College of Art during the worst years of the political conflict. He was founding Director of Art & Research Exchange (ARE), an interdisciplinary community-facing contemporary arts organisation in the centre of Belfast. He moved to Wales to become Director of Ffotogallery, the national centre for photography in Wales, Director of Spike Island contemporary art space in Bristol, Project Development Manager for the Old Town Hall Merthyr Tydfil, before continuing to work independently as a curator and project manager in arts-inspired community regeneration. For the past 4 years he has worked in Bonymaen, initially with the support of the Arts Council of Wales. He now works as a freelance activist for the new Community Interest Company, 'Better Bonymaen' in an attempt to break the cycle of unpredictable periodic funding for community projects that stifle long-term sustainability.

  • Glenn Davidson. Better Bonymaen. Artstation Cardiff

    Glenn Davidson

Artstation's socially engaged practice supports communities in exploring place, identity, and environmental change. Our focus is on climate engagement, guided by the Welsh Government’s Well-being of Future Generations Act (2015), fostering dialogue and local action towards greater social and ecological resilience. He sees Better Bonymaen as a wonderful opportunity for locals to fuse creative development with social action and engagement.
