Bonymaen RFC's history dates back to the 19th century, with early players like Evan and Dai James going on to play for Wales. The club has produced several Welsh international and British & Irish Lions players, most famously Alun Wyn Jones, the most capped player in the world, who started his career at the club.
Previously known as Bonymaen Wanderers, the club has undergone modern transformations and continues to be a significant part of the town, developing as an important hub for the local community, particularly for junior players, from under-sixes to under-16’s. The club has enjoyed some recent success, winning the WRU Plate final and securing league titles.
